Hey guys, Ive just managed to make my own first succesful own map, but before i publish it i want my name _IN_ it, like on a texture on the wall or on the ground or something.

I'm sorry, but i still get the models as some little pink dots in the map.
I have no way to know how tall they will be, or if they will be touching anything around because of the small size of the dot.

the site you provided, im not able to download all 3 program needed, due the site is unavable.
When i choose cyrcle_sprite i cant open .mdl files.
When i choose only cyrcle, i can open mdl files, but they turn up as only a pink dot and not the model.

A rmf file would really save me some time, so i dont have to do this procedure the right way on ALL models.

Thats what I tried to do, but like I said, I'm unable to pinpoint the location of the brush'es that has an error in it.
When I click "go to brush", it doesn't show up ;S

I've searched for a long time now, and can't seem to find out how to add any cars or trees to my map ;S

Hey guys,
I've decided to make a new map again :P
My last map was of my previous school, but was failed big time cause the map was too big, and everything was oversized.

So this time before I begin, I would like to know if you have any tricks so that I don't make it oversized again, like if i want to make an entrance, or a table or a chair, how do I know how big it will be compared with a CT or Terrorist?

And now a problem I'm facing, When i choose the selection tool and click on a brick on the camera window, it doesn't turn red ;S
I have to go on one of the 3 other windows and click on the "x" for it to turn red ;S
It's annoying when I have many bricks on the same place, (over,under,etc...)

The reason why I can't do it, is because of my computer.
It has 256MB RAM so everytime I try to compile it, I get error that I run out of swap files, and the compiling stops.
So...yeah.

Maybe it is my computer that has to little RAM? I only have 256MB... but if you also get the same error and has more RAM then me; then it probably is the map O.o

I get an error saying "AllocBlock full" while loading the game.
I've tried to reboot my computer, but I still get the same error when I tried again.

Hey guys, I need some help.
Since it's just 4 weeks left at my school, and then all of my classmates I've known for 10 years go to different schools. So I wanted to do something special, and made a CS map of our school with our classroom as the bombing place with Valve Hammer Editor. And the only problem I'm having is compiling it into a CS-map. So if there's anyone who's experienced in making CS-1.6/CZ Maps, then I need your help.

I've added a link where you can download my map (.rmf) and the skins (.wad) that are needed for my map.

All I'm asking for, is to compile it into a CS-1.6/CZ map (.bsp)

I asked some friends of mine to take a look at it, and they say it has some errors then needs to be fixed, so you gotta fix them to.

So you're telling me that it's not allowed to have more then two textures on each brush? Damn...

Starting a new map is not a option due I've been working on this for 2 weeks. It's almost done tho. It's my school and it's BIG.
Btw, does it show in the error anything about the size being too big?

The program failled to allocate a block of memory.
Howto Fix: Likely causes are (in order of likeliness) : the partition holding the swapfile is full; swapfile size is smaller than required; memory fragmentation; heap corruption

Because I did and can't get the problem fixed.
I'm new at this, and hoped anyone could help me find the problem...

And I thought it has to be a box because in the tutorial it said it has to hold water or beer if we turned the map upside down. :S

Well, I found the leak but now I got this hlvis: Error: Portal file 'mapname.prt' does not exist, cannot vis the map error again :S

I couldn't really find that too :S

But I've started on creating the map without any items, and after 45 min I wanted to check if it works so far. So I made some walls but it says it has a leak :S
I can't find it. Could someone help me please?
