i did check my wad list and it did show the cstrike.wad, but still wud not work. wat cud be wrong?????

i hv been trying to learn to create a map for the 1st time. until i came across an compiling error in zhlt253.
the following was the code in the .bat file

and following is the error details

hlcsg: Error: Could not find WAD file
Description: The compile tools could not locate a wad file that the map was referencing.
Howto Fix: Make sure the wad's listed in the level editor actually all exist

i tried fixing the path couple of times which located the cstrike.wad file..but dosent seem to work...
please kindly point out the mistake i made and also some suggestions that would help me..

When i compile my map this comes back i dont understand it. Can some 1 please help me.

Ok i have used win bsp to change a .bsp file to a .map file so i can edit cs_assault_upc but when i hammer the textures dont show the objects are just plain colours.....any ideas?

Make a func_door \\\where it says angle set that to up that makes your door go up! Name it ''john'', and then set what open close sounds you want and speeds.

Make a func_button, target it at ''john''
make sure you go into flags
and set button to dont move

ok as it says you need to download the ZHLT file....place that wherever you want it i.e desktop/my documents set the files up as explained in the tutorial. Then when you are in valve hammer editor you click file>expot to map and save that file in your ZHLT folder then all you need to do then is double click the .bat file you made as explained in the tutorial! confusing but you will catch on

Right Sup I Had to go and get ZHLT again after a Format and for some strange reason when i come to the (Make a text document and name it 'Mapname'.bat and i did.......then i clicked edit and entered correct info in there such as 'mapname' and my steam 'user name' but the thing is it doesnt change to an .bat file it stays as a .txt file so when i come to compile my map it just opens as a .txt document

for the simplest most accurate port forwarding go to www.portforward.com the click FORWARDING choose your router and then your game you want to forward for i.e CS the follow on screen instructions. ITS SIMPLE
