In OvvO IM BACK! by SOGRURR:
Crap...DETAILS Okay uhm... The very first time I started mapping. I used that directory thingy and it didnt compile right. Then I posted here on the forums...on how it didnt work. Then you said it was the wrong one. And gave me the correct directory thing. Good enough?...

Aaand I need halp. Again. eDan! (This is where you come in) Im starting to make maps again. Cause I'm helping with a Half-life mod. And I have no ideer how to compile and shit again. I remeber you gave me something else other than this - @echo off hlcsg -nowadtextures mapname hlbsp mapname hlvis mapname hlrad mapname copy mapname.bsp "C:\Steam\SteamApps\EMAIL\counter-strike\cstrike\maps" pause "C:\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 10 -dev +sv_cheats 1 +map mapname Because when I started it didn't compile properly. What was the proper way again..?
In i have problems at the last part... by SOGRURR:
Okay when you make a new .txt file make sure you rename the last part, the .txt. part, to .bat For example mapname.txt = mapname.bat
In i have problems at the last part... by SOGRURR:
Maybe this will help, im not sure... Did you change the notepad file to a batch file? mapname.txt to mapname.bat
In Xbox Live Game by SOGRURR:
I didn't play it for a week, cause i was grounded.. And after my grounding I went to go play it started up but the menu was a f'ed up. So turned it off and inserted a game and then started it hoping that it would start up the game, but instead the menu popped up, this time it was all fine so i went to the play game button on the menu and it said eject. I got really pissed off..so I took out the game and turned off the system. And went to play some computer. After an hour I came back and tried to play on it again. And then it just didn't turn on. I checked all the cords they were all plugged in. So as soon as the PS3 80GB came out my dad bought it.

In how to add your map to steam by SOGRURR:
Did you put the .bat right...that might be the problem. For example >Thenameofyourmap<.bat Then right click it and click edit. then make sure you do this right I have my steam folder in my D:\ drive so...yeah. @echo off hlcsg >Nameofyourmap< hlbsp >Nameofyourmap< hlvis >Nameofyourmap< hlrad >Nameofyourmap< copy >Nameofyourmap<.bsp "D:\Steam\SteamApps\>Steamusername<\counter-strike\cstrike\maps" cd "D:\Steam\Steam.exe" pause hl -dev -console -game cstrike +sv_cheats 1 +map >Nameofyourmap<

Hopefully soon I can get on the computer with hammer editor on so i could take some screen shots for you. But also if Down, eDan, Killer Duck, or even SRAW should see this hopefully they could help.
In No sky texture in zhlt by SOGRURR:
I think it can be found in the halflife.wad, or something like that. I have the sky texture, but I can't really remember wich wad file it came from..
In The welcome message @ CS 1.6 by SOGRURR:
I think you could..not too sure But I use steam so I'm not sure how to do it non-steam.. But maybe googling on how to do it might help. Or you could wait for eDan, Down Rodeo, Killer Duck, SRAW to reply again.

In How hard can it be? by SOGRURR:
Hmm...I did some researching on this cracked steam G-steam, it gives you all the games that steam supports and possibly more..I'm not sure if it has source SDK. That's about all I know.. That it's a steam crack. And that you can't use a already steam account otherwise you get banned by steam or something

In Who knows how to create a Counter-Stirke Server? by SOGRURR:
I'm actually not sre how this works...but I think when you make a dedicated you have to go on a diff comp and access the server from thar...because if you were to play on the server that is RUNNING OFF THE SAME COMP it could make some really bad lag issues with the server.

begginer said: yeah he has 2 trucks of the same problem
So even the .wad files?
begginer said: look its simple :
1)everything should be on the same drive 2) when you use a texture in hammer it remembers the folder it came from , so if you move the wad from that place then hammer won't find it . and if you try to comply then you'll get an error 3) when you moved textures re-add them into hammer by going to "tools -> options -> textures -> remove the .wad files you moved , and then add them again from the new directory 4) once your done , save your map to rmf (optional) and AND DON'T FORGET EVERYTHING ON THE SAME DRIVE AND BE CAREFUL WITH MOVING WADS !
