Hi. I have a weird question, sometimes on steam in-game I see advertisements on the walls. I think it should appear like brushes. but its nvm.
I wanted to know maybe anyone of you were heared about wad randomize. For ex. I have a wad file, and some textures in it. I want those textures appear in my map randomized.

I want my logo (from wad) change every time I load the map, or if possible every round.

I tried a lot of times, ive some friends who can program in C++ but thet stuff is to hard for me, ive all hl1 source code, but i dont even know the meaning of commands in C++ :D

You should put your ENV images to cstrike\gfx\env\ and it should be in *.tga format. Then you just go in hammer and write cl_skyname without (rt,lf,up,dn 'n' etc.)

Yes, trigger_changelevel is not using in multiplayer, thats bad.... OK ive got your ideas.... But still maybe there is the way to change the map when player comes to trigger_multiple (named mapchange), and it should be some cfg or something.... maybe AMX can change the map? I mean when player comes to trigger.

Hey, how can i make that, trigger, witch can enter a command to console, for examlpe.

Player comes to trigger, and he has "rcon changelevel" command in his console, if its simple player, console would say bad rcon_password, if it would be an admin, the map with all players should change.

is there any chance? or maybe i can make it my self using fgd in notepad.?

copy that wad there, where you have loaded when you were compiling or creating a map. e.x. D:\games\CS\valve\mywad.wad

entitiny called "monstermaker" :) it can spawn a monster or two.

By the way, how i should set "monstermaker" monster values. e.x. monster_human_grunt_ally. It spawns without weapons.. It just run to enemy and fataly kick him :DDD it should have key "weapons" and value "16"

im using func_tank. How to make that tank dont shoot at me but shoot at enemys.. is there any way to select team or something. ... Im editing opposing force, and i need a tank that kills human_assasins.

Maybe your map runs on HL1 not on CS? ...try to run in a new game.

aaatrigger and clip textures must be in halflife.wad

You see. Ill give u an example, I made a tree, and its bottom is not in a center of an entity, but it origin is in center of an entity.

Decompile, cs_italy, using windbsp, open the map using vhe, copy all the chicken .... Its not only 1 entity...
Make a trigger_hurt on all the map, make a button what triggers a hurt. And when you will press the button everybody will die, and the round end

In source, you should make a wave looped not in VHE but in windows. use GoldWave. ;)
EDIT>CUE POINTS>EDIT CUE POINTS

appears a window, press NEW, then press "At Start" give a name "start" and OK

then NEW again, press "At Finish" give a name "end" and OK save your file, and then try in your Source VHE again

If its a small map. Press F9 in your VHE, make everything NORMAL and RUN!

hey again. Im trying to decompile de_inferno, and it has included textures in it, try to use winbsp but it gives me an error. I tried to open it useing Quark but it cant save *.map only bsp again, I wish to make de_inferno A or B bomb site, a small map.

(p.s. I grabbed all textures from the map, and i created a wad file with it.)

Try to compile full and all normal. If ir appears again try to copy your map to other VHE and save the different name, then compile. You can always rename bsp file

It means you have a huge brushes or/and it goes out of the worlds grid. Try to make a smaller walls or something.

Your maps compiles to the different directory then, not in cstrike/maps, try to copy all your maps to cstrike/maps, then everything will be fine i guess.

Hey, im using cycler to make a world model but it has no collision, only "self origin" I tried to use solid render mode and make an invisible wall, but i know there is a way to make models own collision without world brushes help.

You must remove "wad.wad" from your map, or else you must put that "wad.wad" in your cstrike dir...

It is possible to fix, very easy, open your map in VHE... Go to MAP>MAP PROPERTIES>MAX VIEWABLE DISTANCE or something ike that, and enter your count... 4096 ... or more..

Nzn kaip ce tau db parasyt :D et... I realy dont know, but i think you are using the texture you have not inserted to VHE....

Well about OUTSIDE WORLD: you have to large brushes or they are out of wolrd vhe grid, or it can be to "close" the end of the vhe grid....

There is another way to fix it, like.. on the boxes you can use "FIT" in texture window... Or you can edit texture positions your self.....

Well when you oper map file the texture positions goes crap.... I mean axis... its not like in bsp. You must edit/apply your self

You need to download WINBSP then convert it to *.map open in VHE, you must edit texture positions...

Well I think you soudn't use the smaller that 1px brush couse, when I compiling a map it always says some error, and when I deleted that brush everythink were fine....
You better make a model, it will be better, and compiling will be faster... =]

Well here can be two things why it is black....

1.Your brush render mode sould be SOLID and amount 255
2.Maybe your texture palette is bad, couse the last color of the palette (255 index) must be blue....

Click the right mouse button on that *.err file, than click OPEN WITH on the popup menu, then choose NOTEPAD.... and it will open your err file

well AK or M4A1 has 30bullets per 1 count, so if you want to equip full you should add a value like 3 or 4 ... 1AK with 30bullets, 30bullets, 30bullets Like that :)

I made a sprite my self, it's additive mode

But I need that the sprite would be fully transparent couse I dont want to see the edges of the sprite "resolution end" But all the render modes are.... hmm If Im making a lot of sprites here comes an error that means to much entities I've maded.. Here, TURN OFF the SMART EDIT, add a key named your weapon give.. like..

Well this time the value means how many times of WEAPON_RPG you will be equiped... So it will give you 5 RPGs at the time so it means you'll have 1 RPG and 4 rockets....
You can add more weapons, to adding a key ant VALUE "count" ..

But if Im making a trigger_multiple(like a deathmatch), its equiping all the time when Im in the trigger.. So for single player I guess its enought trigger_once, but in multiplayer I made a lot of weapons near player spawn....

Well .. Ive some ideas... Create your home with "HL" base textures, or something, make some streets.. make a hotel conception for your map... even try to make a car saloon, and simulate it like de_rats, but just with half-life textures... actualy you can create everything... Make your table like a base... add triggers and pipes... go to trigger and the pipe blow up, then water lifting and you must find the hole in the top of your base, if not.. YOUR DEAD

I've an other one question.. Im trying to make a fog (in base, yard or something) I used sprites, well sprites not good for fog, if you dont have that one.. So I made darker as I could, But it still :D the fog is white, with much sprites, I looked for more entities, I found func_illiusonary ant VOLUMETRIC LIGHT, I used in the map, and I saw what I need.... But I saw that Im flying.. or swiming :D something like that.. Like I would be in the water.. How to remove that "water effect" and leave only beutiful fog effect??....

And how the hell CS Aztec has the RAIN???!!! I think it is impossible to make it on HL1 mod..

Well here is an answer to first POST... press CTRL+SHIFT+G, type there your ENTITY nomber 7 .... It will mark, then make it smaller.... You have 10000 ar something.... So you need only 4096, make it much smaller.... Or well it could be, becouse your "entity" is OUT OF WOLRD, well.. to large gone outside from center.... =]

(P.S. I have one more idea, how to play it.... Ill open the map in winbsp and look for trigger_mp3audio.... But I still need your help... To write everything in that FGD, but not only the used things in that map....) THANKS

I cant find this target_mp3audio, there is only target_cdaudio ... but there is no choise to choose any path for mp3, there is just choose the track from CD and no FLAGS.... :(

Ow man, why so hard? =] There is a simple way to add textures to map, here:
Run VHE, go to TOOLS>OPTIONS:TEXTURES, press ADD WAD... thats it, when you add your wad restart vhe, if you need wad file, download WALLY and create the wad package your self, create map.... And if you want to create a public map I think not much players has your map wad, so I think (I JUST THINK) that you need AMX plugin for download automaticaly that MAP wad... BUT I DONT REALY KNOW....

1.Also you can use ARMOURY_ENTITY and drop it on player spawn, so when player spawns he "automaticaly" =D takes the weapon (fall on it)
2.You can make AMX plugin for giving weapons code like that:

I think also you can make a FUNC_VECHICLE with ORIGIN and, FUNC_VECHICLECONTROLS, and 2 PATH_TRACKs (P.S. Well the best CS is CS 1.6, Source has only good graphic but a lot of bugs... And the shooting is strange in source, I read somewhere that come out CS 1.6 with source graphic, there will be good shooting and good graphic, without bugs, I dont know what the engine will be in that CS, but I hope it requirements will be like CS 1.6 =D P.S (IMMORTAL CS IS CS1.6!!) =D

Hi, sorry for my english, but I need help with VHE (CS 1.6) How to make a shadows like in standart maps... It like a sun, the shadows is the same angle.. And I was open standart map by WINBSP and there was no LIGHT Entities (except the LIGHTS in the lamps) But Im a little skilled Mapper and I know that LIGHT entities still can`t be a sun light, I tried to make LIGHT_ENVIROINMENT but there is no shadows too.... It just high lag like in not full compiled map.. I think it is something with SKY or MAP PROPERTIES but I cant find it... I guess from VHE I dont know only this =D
P.S. (there is not necessary to make a *.BAT file to compile it, and always when you built a new map you have to rename it to the same like was or always edit that *.BAT file, I`ve a better idea... VHE can add ZHLT Plugins in it self, you just need to configure it in TOOLS>OPTIONS:BUILT PROGRAMS... And when compiling it always show the error, and sometimes writes how to fix it.... ;] )
