I don't think the server matters but I did place a ambient_generic and the sound was rain.wav and I placed it at :

B:/Games/Counter-Strike/cstrike/sound/ambience/rain.wav

I have no idea what that mod is nor I did ever install it to my game

ok I tried it on my completely clean and original cs 1.6 steam version and it's still the same problem

Also the last phrase in the console log said :

Im not using any mods or plugins or anything and I didn't get any mapname.err either when I was compiling so idk

Well I tried the map again then closed the loading and loaded the console it gave me this :

So I have finished a map and it compiled with no problems but when I try to load and run it in cs 1.6 the loading is stuck at "verifying resources..."

Please somebody help

Well, il try putting the game on the same drive and see what happens

Ok I guess il just use the regular way that superjer teached us to do but now I get a swag.err and the log says :

I didn't use a .bat file I compiled the map inside hammer editor but using zoner's tools like I said in the op also the map was named

"sweg" (please no comment it's just a test map)

Ok so since I'm willing to use the Hammer built in compiler but since it sucks so I went to options then build programs and gave it the path to ZHLT executables so it will use them instead but when I choose the compile window and make it compile the map (I made it put the compiled map at the desktop) after it compiles the map when i goto the desktop I only find "mymapname.map" instead of bsp and also sometimes it add "mymapname.max"

Please if anyone knows how to help me then please do

I know but i told you this so that you could maybe figure what i did wrong

I used yesterday on a test map I made and here is what I did :

The Counter terrorist one :
Team master : Info_player_start
and i gave them snipers

The Terrorist one :
Team master : Info_player_deathmatch
And i gave them riot shields

When i tested it worked and gone wrong at the same time
Because T's got a sniper but Ct's got a sniper and riot shield but it spawned grabable and not with them

So im not really sure what i did wrong or maybe i wrongfully Swapped the names or something but i hope this atleast help you

Im using an FGD from a mod half life called flat-life and since it's open source it has the FGD with, here is the link to the mod :

Anyway for some reason it's working though but i still doubt it will work perfectly fine...

Yeah i used that too but it's just too long espicially that im just making some test maps and other carbage so that's why im just using the fastest way to compile but when i make a Serouis map i will use Superjer's

Problem fixed from now on im just gonna use Hammer's Compiler with seems to be the easiest and fastest :D

So since the the tutorial to compile maps is long and kinda complicated i tried using Nem's batch compiler but for some reason im doing something wrong so if anyone is kind and patient enough could you please

Do me a full tutorial on how to use for HALFLIFE NO-STEAM

and then another one for CS NO-STEAM

big thanks to both of you guys especially you Superjer without your 35 years old tutorials or whatever XD i would've never learned to map but the compiling step is annoying isn't any faster way to compile maps?

Hai guys im a new mapper and to make mah first epix map i need some anwsers for some questions so before i ask im gonna say that this map will contain a vip

1- How can i make so that CT's and T's start with nothing

2- I want to make it so Vip only has pistol and nothing else
