i made a cool map all i need now is to figure out how other servers can gget it so i can play it with my frends. any one know how?
how do i make it so that when you shoot a button it turns off a turret thats trying to kill u, or if possible to destroy the turret. i tried putting a button and shooting it but when i shoot it it makes me comtrol the turret
ya single platyer...have u ever been on the map war or anyof them with those soldier that shoot at you and those turret, and the huge bosses
im makin this one map where your in like a batle field and i actually need people thatll shoot at you(not people online, or bots) and also i want a soldier operating a turret and once he sees you i want him to attack you

the explosion part i know, make an entity(env_explosion) make the radius what ever you want normal is 100 dont do any thing more than 600 cus when i did that it crashed my computer. After you made the entity name it take what ever you want i recommend Explosion_1. next make a button for the explosion to trigger, give it a texture for button, doesnt have to be but i prefer that, now tie the block you just made to an entity by pressing ctrl t on the drop down menu select func_button. this is makes you button work. for name put explosion_button_1 and for target put Explosion_1. and there you go, o and 1 more thing if you want the tank to shoot unlimited go to your env_explosion and in flags select the option repeatable

umm i tried that with a trigger teleport but it didnt seem to work, would you have any idea on how to delay a teleport cus i set the triggers delay to 20 and the trigger multiple to 20 so umm....what do i do
i want trigger teleport to teleport you after 20 secs i put the delay before trigger as 20 but you still get teleported once you land on it, i just want to teleport to be active once 25 secs go by, or the teleport to move into the room however it works just as long as you get teleported after 20 secs is over
also and EASIER way of making a box is just make it the size of the room you were goin to make(with correct hight and width) and then makeing it a hallow, to do that just simply highlight it right click it on one of 2d veiws and click on the selection that says make hallow. or easier is go to tools<makehallow and there you go no leaks
and when you export its supposed to BE a .map when you save the file in your Valve hammer maps its should be .rmf
well umm.....did you export the file to where your zhlt compilers are. if not then do it, well before you do that check for errors, go to map>checkforerrors, and if is sais any FIX THEM. make sure you save your map in valve hammer maps too. after that press f9 and wait for the compiler to finish, if it opens up steam automatically then something went wrong because theres supposed to be some text that says the status, like build vis etc.... here ill post one of my correctly compile maps and one on my non correctly compiled maps

and so on, this is because the hlvis DID function are compile the map Corectly. so if you dont see anything in the compiling window that says buildportalvis or anything else that looks similar then YOU HAVE A LEAK....so go fix that leak

actually i just figured out you dont need to mess around with the pitch and all that stuff....al you need to do is set up blocks height to how high you want to go, and to the left of the andgles theres a little drop down list. select the "up" and there you go....just make sure your speed of push is higher than 800 cus you gatta beat the gravity remember?

hey im makin this map where your constantly getting boosted to different rooms, like 1st room is pistols, and i want there to be a 35 second time limit to stay there, then boost mooves you to 2nd room which is grenades...and so on and so forth o and does it matter if all the boosts name are the same??

make a block any size, then highlight it and press ctrl t(ties tile to entity) on the drop down list go to the bottom, and select the "Trigger_teleport" after that name your teleport any thing you want. for target path, type where u want it to go. Note: youll need the entity info_teleport_destination. so select the entity tool, and select the entity that says info_teleport_destination and put it to wherever you want your teleport to take you(this is the mark of where your teleport is going to take you) now select the entity you just made and as its settings name it the name you put for the target path you set for the trigger_teleport. and there you go a teleport

wtf.....i do everything that im supposed to do to make a teleport. i tied the entity to the block i made then i made a info tele dest. but still doesnt work!!! My trigger puishes work but not my teleports sum 1 help. o and whenever i start the game it doesnt show how much money i have and it doesnt give me a knife and pistol when i spawn....why...
that made me even more confused, ok 1 more question do i need the trigger teleport to be a AAA texture?

well im just wondering why my lights do light up the room when i run the game. i made a light spot. for its properties i put yes it is sky, thinkin that the sky will be the roof of the spawn. i also tried light and still nothing it says nothing assigned to light or sumtin sum 1 plz help. my light enviroment works but not the others.

umm i got a question about the angles like when u maqke a trigger pussh, and you want the person to be pushed a certain direction. like which degree is which direction lets say you point the line at 90 degrees what direction is that. i want to kno which direction it would move you on the 1st grid(top)
there is no leak entites when i removed the box, but stil....says same thing, and i only used vertex manipulation like 3 times for the water fall.
um......to make sure that there were no leaks i just made a box around my map and hallowed it, so there shouldt be any problems but..... wtf i dont kno why it says this no entites are putside or anytin

ok ill try to put this as simple i can. There are 2 spawn cs and t, theyre both in little boats, and theyre MOVING towards a waterfall, a really high one, and once they hit the bottom, i want them to all die, well accept for the winning team, but i want the losing team to die, but for both spawns(boats) to warp back to bigginin of the map
how do i make a destination kill people in a huge boat and then teleport the boat back to its original spawn, cus i made 2 boats(2 dif spawns) and i want to make the limit to killin eachother limited, like theres a huge waterfall and once they hit the ground i want everyone in the boat to die, and after it falls i want it to teleport back to spawn.

Well, i compile and everything turns out well its jsut that it takes an extreemely long time, you know the box in the tutorial of superjer, well i made that to test, and it takes longer than it usually should, cus i saw a video on youtube when a guy is compiling and it takes like 5 secs, and its only at the last command where steam opens up, but after that command the compile doesnt finish sum 1 plz help me. I have rlly fast internet i think pretty good ram, i set up all the configurations "correctly" and i put spawnpoints and 1 "light".......this is wat it says tell me if i need to wait longer of if something is wrong.HELP ME SUPERJER IM LOST!!!I kno ur a genious when it comes to this kind of andvanced stuff
