i know this is gonna sound confusing and it allways does but please try to understand as best as you can

so i took a break from mapping for i unno couple weeks or so right, then i said well school is goin down so ill get back to it, i open up my inprogess map and what do i know the 3d is being dumb. when i move up or down in the 3d texture mode it only shows like 3-4 things (ex. a light entity (purpl), a car ( or half of it) ) when i try moving it right to left the colour of the car/entity skipps across the screen and does nothing, so then i though it wus hammer, so i re installed it ( nope didn't work), a friend gave me a tip (to copy the whole map and paste it into a new file map) din;t work,


but here's the twisted part, if i try making a new map from scratch ec. box or w/e it works fine on the 3d texture mode but if i try downloading a prefab or opening a previos map in 3d text mode it screwes up like before,


it works fine in 3d flat mode but messes up in text mode


someone please help asap , thanks

the blue sky texture is in half-life.wad pack find that and download it. edan i mean it compiles fine no probs in hammer or compile but it causes my cs to crash

put sky texture wich is just a blue texture wich renders a sky in the game and u have to put light_enviroments to + the easiest way to find a leak is to go to edit-select all and see if any red dots appear outside ur wall boundries , double check leaks, double check problems because sometime they say fixed but they arent , try to reconfig and post up ur log


**the easiest way to make a box around ur map is to make a cube and right click select hollow then type the thickness you want**

so i made my map its not my first, so i know the most common buggs i've checked over logs when compiling a million times nothing goin wrong i dont understand i compile it no error's copy it to cstrike maps as allways open cs go to new game and it says "starting local game( or whatever it says) " it does 2 yellow tiks and closes cs with no error code or new window , what is wrong

The most efficient way is to find your leak.

Open your .MAP like more and then go to (At the top) Map>Load Pointfile and then browse to the directory that contains the pointfile for your map. If a message appears asking if you want to use the default pointfile choose yes.

Now you'll see a lot of lines that appear on your map. Follow the lines from inside your map and they will lead you to your error. This could take a long time because the lines don't always lead you directly to the leak.

when you create a box look at the rightside panel where it says prefabs just obove it there should be to slots where u can choos block , cylinder, wedge......etc then go to the one above it and go to like usless stuff and choose like chairs, desks blah blah blah here ill post you a pic

okay when it says leak u could be there fordays trying to find it and if it is simple it should show up but most of the time it is very hard to pinpoint so just make a box around your map in every view to block off any leaks



as for credit.wad copy it or just place it in cstrike folder

i have a question again lol..... n way if you've ever been to a map awp_skeet or awp_snow sk the spawn entity changes every round to one round the t's are launched out of a jump thing and next round they r in building wit awp, then launched, then in buildings it just switches each time and the ct do it as well so when t's are in building the ct's are been launched could someone plz help me out here ty



ohh and one more thing how do u make it so when the player goes on this object/ area it shoots you out faster or makes u run like in he_glass2 or awp_snowsk , surf_ski when u get out of the gun roo there is that sudden burst somtin like that?

yes i've had that problem before and it means that there is a hidden or just a brush outside your world i u cannot find it go to

map>go to brush...> then leave the entity spot blank go to brush and type in the brush number that it says so for instance


see ur compile error and it says entity 0 and brush number? type that brush number into the little box as i said above and select ok...... that should highlight the brush and it should show it on your 3 tiled screen then if it something u need just move it back into the world or delete it .... that should do it
