Hrmmm. Truly a conundrum, but my flatmate from last year solved it thusly: he had a hooded top that the headphones rested on at the back, stopping them from falling down whilst keeping them away from his hat. He had long hair too.

I can't wear hoodies. They are against my dress code. I only ever wear formal clothes. Suits and such. It'd clash terribly to put a hoody on with dress slacks and a tie.

You might still encounter problems when trying to get the mic and the headphones under your hat depending on the size of the hat/head.
