I double click on firstmap.bat.txt and it doesn't pop up a command window, it just opens as a Text Document.
In my ZHLT folder i have firstmap.bat.txt, firstmap.map and all the other files included when installed.
My firstmap.bat.txt file contains:
@echo off
hlcsg -nowadtextures firstmap
hlbsp firstmap
hlvis firstmap
hlrad firstmap
copy mapname.bsp "C:\Program Files\Counter-Strike 1.6\cstrike\maps"
cd C:\Program Files\Counter-Strike 1.6
pause
hl -dev -console -game cstrike +sv_cheats 1 +map firstmap

And i've already unchecked the file extensions thing.

Please HELP ME!!

And as such you need to remove the .txt suffix. After that all will be well and good with the world. You should have "mymapname.bat" NOT "Myapname.bat.txt".

I also get angry sometimes... Especially when AnonymousJer doesn't give points for hours of research online about Hammer Mapping.

i have helped a lot of people in the past month and i was active on the forum , but still no points ( people don't like me , can't find out why .... could it be my irritating personality ?? neeeaaah )

It's because SuperJer is too self-conscious to appear on the forums anymore. It's not like I'd ever give points for something so prosaic as helping in the hammer forums.
