As this is the general forum section i would like to ask a question???
i want to make the project on 3D digital cartography for my final year engineering.... i have the idea but cant find from where to start... is there anyone who can help me??????

yaa i can elucidate further... The way we make maps in ValveHammer
in the same way i want to build the digital maps of building or any 3D object... Do you have any idea how to do it???

http://www.blender.org/ is one of the best free tools, there are lots of other paid ones.

I know autocad.. but its to difficult and complicated for such applications.....

Hate to break it to you, but if autocad is too difficult for you you probably don't wanna pursue a career in engineering.
That being said, autocad is a pretty intense program to learn, but from your last post it sounds like you've spent a decent ammount of time with it. If thats not the case, keep learning and using it, and hone your autocad skills, because its pretty much essential to know in this day and age for an engineer.
