Come play SuperJer's new HLDM map with all the cool peeps!

Saturday, Jan 12, 2008 @ 12 Noon PST
(which is 3pm Eastern time, 8pm London time, 9pm Paris time)

What do I need?
Just have Half-Life 1 installed, run it, go to the console and type connect superjer.com to join the party! You do not need to get the map first.

The server is in Phoenix, AZ, but it's on a Massachusetts IP Block. It's right on the backbone so you might actually get a good connection from outside the US.
Ping the server and find out.

This actually makes me want HL1. Heathen that I am, I only got Hl2 etc with the Orange Box... I got CS:S first. This was after a friend got me hooked on GunGame.
If you don't actually own a copy of Hl1 etc do you get banned from these forums? Or is it just points loss?

Mello: FTH was a hell of a lot of fun at my LAN. I hope it works as well on the Inet.
Rodeo: HL1 is only $9.95 or so on Steam. Well worth it if you haven't got it already. (GunGame rocks!)

It is true that I could afford it... I'll have a look and see if it would run on this. If not there's a PC at home on which it could.
OK, looking at it I might get the Half-Life Anthology... It should run, but I still don't trust this. I mean it has issues with Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Which, you know... not the most demanding of games. At all. But thanks for pointing that out I might just get that

Did anyone screenshot the final score? I forgot to.
But thanks to the_nose, adhesive, molkman, and mikejer for showing up. You all get 109 pts plus medals coming soon when I get the medals working again.

im pretty mad right now.
i started up steam at like 12:15...it didnt actually open untill 12:30. then, it said there was an update for steam, and that it had to restart.
it didnt restart until 12:45, and then it wouldnt open half-life, so i had to restart my computer.
i got in the game at like 12:55.
no one was there.
i was really looking forward to it too...

That's rough mello. Steam can be a bitch sometimes. I had to update too, and then I got in and Half-Life crashed. Twice.
But I got an early start!
I'm also going to make some updates to the map, then we'll play it again.

I decided to buy it. I've been playing a bit, I might try to make it next time. Hilariously, whenever there are any sparks/particle effects like that etc the framerate drops ridiculously .
I bought the Half-Life anthology. That should keep me working through for a wee while at least; something to stop the terminal boredom at 3 am when I should be preparing (and sleeping) for 10 am lectures..
Gutted I missed it though. I'm finding it hard to get used to the engine, everything's so... bouncy :D
Wait, GunGame's on CS. OK I'll miss that one too. Unless... I doubt I'll buy it, so maybe another game, another time. :)
