Hey can anibody tell me how can I get fps on my maps to get bigger than 40... I made some maps and the fps doesn't get over 40 :(

Check your compile-log and make sure you don't have any LEAKS or any other errors.

There are no leaks but I don't know why every map I make doesn't get over 40 fps

Make 'em smaller, less complex geometry... Besides, 40 fps is fine! I play TF2 aiming for about 30... Saying that, if you're getting 40 fps on a game that old, something is wrong. Hmmm.

are you making alot of complex brushes in your maps? if so, try making your brushes more simple, the half life engine is old and cant take to much complex stuff

I do small maps.. and I do complex thing on them... but I want to put them on a clan server... but they rejected them because it doesn't go over 40 fps :| ... but now I ahve in mind a big and kindof simple map... hope it will work.. thanks for the help

TF2 with 30 fps?! my maximum fps in cs is 60, and i cant even load up TF2...the game crashes as soon as it starts to load

Actually on my flatmate's computer we can average about 50-odd. If you get a really up-to-date machine you can easily hit 150.
