I wouldn't really know, I don't watch Family guy. But I saw a South park Family guy parody in which that fat guy kept saying "If you think that's bad,...".

Oh, I get it now... It's because Family Guy always cuts to crazy bits that have nothing to do with the storyline. The FamilyGuyness is actually what comes after the "If you think that's bad" part.
