You'll need to have Steam open. Easiest way now is to open CounterStrike manually. The just set up the server yourself...

Honestly, what is it about the last step that no-one's CS loads properly? Is it really that tough, or is there a mistake in the tutorial?

Not the compile log, the content of your .bat-file (you can open it up in Notepad).

Although, the last compile log you posted showed an interesting bit in the end:

Also you have some textures that are too large. While this may not cause problems on your computer, it might cause problems on some people's computers especially on software mode. So if you want your map to be played by other people as well I'd advise you to scale the textures down a bit.

Still, as KD said, post the contents of your bat file.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

Are you sure that's where Steam is installed? According to your compile log it rather looks like it should be "C:\Program Files\Steam..." or something like that...
