when i'm doing my map, i get a error message that says :
"hlvis: Error: Portal file 'big_water.prt' does not exist, cannot vis the map"

whats the problem?
i don't get it!

hlbsp is the program that creates the prt file so therefore if it ain't running then it will run into problems like that. Is your bat file correct?

Are you sure hlbsp.exe is in the same folder along with your other compiling tools(hlvis, hlcsg etc)?

I suggest then that you try following the tutorial on this site to see if you can get results then. If not something has gone funny.
