how to make push lift thing?

ok im makin map and want to know how to make like a puch lift gravity thing. where like u step on a thing and a force jus like pushes u up..how would i do this? kind of like in quake or halo

And it must be as long (i.e. vertical size of brush must be) as how far you want the player to be pushed for. Everyone stares when you walk in the room, they stare when you go....
