its just long and the combat i like so i just leave it


also i beat fear 2 and it took me about 8 houers and i got most of the achievements for it except
kill 4 people in slomo and kill 4 people with one nade

not like i aim for them its just somthing to aim for moo moo moo, moo.

I find it odd that you haven't managed to kill four people in slow motion. That's the main way you kill people in FEAR... unless gameplay changed drastically from the first one :p

A nade's more difficult, but doable, in the right situation. I feel I should ask, are you playing on the Xbox? Everyone stares when you walk in the room, they stare when you go....

Which is really what you should be doing. Of course the problem is you're using a controller, so headshots are a little rarer, I think ;)

buq: I didn't actually play, I watched my flatmate play through it. I can't remember how many he managed; there was one bastard of a room though where he took multiple attempts and eventually beasted it in slo-mo I think. It was quite harsh for the man nearest the door - every time he reloaded, BANG! Headshot with the HV Penetrator. But I can't remember how many he took out. D'you know, it always annoyed me that the first guy you shot took lots of damage, but as soon as he died, all his friends knew you were there SO TOOK LESS DAMAGE. That doesn't make sense, Monolith! Everyone stares when you walk in the room, they stare when you go....

It's the whole expectation around the games now, the aesthetic, the way it plays, the character design, even the story - you say they're different but it really boils down to "world in danger from massive threat" and eventually you grow stronger and beat it. Dropping the name would be a step on the path to recovery and some new, possibly interesting games :p

But that describes 99% of RPGs. You can't just pin that on FF. Not that I LIKE any of them past 7 or anything. The only RPG I can think of where you aren't saving a world from impending doom is Disgaea... and only the first one!

Seriously, why would you buy Fallout 3 for a console? It's all like, "DUH-HURRR, I WANT THE VERSION WITH ONLY 10% OF THE CONTENT! DUH-HURRR!"

Give me a minute, I'll think of something. Mass Effect 2 deviates slightly from this in that it's not specifically about improving yourself and your team; it's actually about creating it. And... (time passes)

Jade Empire: it's more a revenge-type story, which ends with you freeing the Empire from an evil emperor's grip. Or not, depending on player choice. The bad thing has already happened. I appreciate these are not great examples... I'll keep trying.

What Aaronjer's saying is that because you are playing on a console your game is significantly crippled. I have no sources on this; I played Fallout 3 very briefly on my computer and have seen my flatmates play it lots on the Xbox. To me it looks pretty much the same but honestly I wouldn't know :)
One disadvantage that is definite and for sure is the is lack of RAM. What is it on the PS3? 256 graphics and 256 RAM? Or is it twice that for each? It's ridiculous, given how cheap memory is nowadays.

Also, mods. Seriously missing out there. Everyone stares when you walk in the room, they stare when you go....
