I second SuperJer for this. Html is pretty much the language of all websites. HTML 5 is the newest version. It adds, among other things, the <video> tag.

PHP writes HTML, for lack of a better phrase.

Websites not using HTML... I was making an allowance for XHTML and the like, but I suppose they're virtually the same.
