ok the owner of my team server asked me if i could put the rules of the map up on the walls of the map and i said no problem "dumb ass" lol well having problem cant import maps to hammer or can i? please help ive looked though the forum and found one question like this but that sounds like to much work got to be an easer way

So you'll have to decompile the map, and that's a bad idea, especially for a server. If you search for decompiling programs, you'll only find people saying how bad it is, instead of finding programs.

It's really not feasible, unless you have the MAP or RMF.

i have to go through all that just to put a coupel of bill bords up on the walls i have the map file in my map file in steam if i have to i guess it shoulnt be to hard to decopile it and just add the billbords should it



another problem im having is that i was working on a map and lost it all exsept an RMX what ever that is can i get it back from that

so got a decompiler and used it and none of the texures are on just plain white room with white boxes all over it is there a way i can get the texuers to show up too

You have to have the exact same textures the original mapper used.
Not to be an ass or anything..
Have fun looking for them. (lol sorry)

Oh yeah a word of advice, I would rename the map when you compile it..just so you dont get in trouble..
so like >> deagle5_x90, and change all the textures...with textures of your own, or find some on fpsbanana.com..

Don't do it. A recompiled map is not good for a server, it'll be very heavy. Even if you will do it, you'll have to give a different name and it's all a big mess.
