I tried it on my laptop, I got 20/11. This is basically due to the fact that the wireless drivers on my laptop limit it to 20 downstream. When I get my desktop in, I'll let you know.

What kind of laptop limits your download speed @_@ that's pretty strange don't you think? Why don't you update it or is the hardware really old or what

Combination of technology, drivers and Linux. Wireless speeds only go up to about 24 Mbits, unless you are on wireless N - that can go faster. I know this because my flatmate tested and got 100 +, but I'd like to try it myself (with a somewhat newer PC, though I am quite certain it won't make a difference).

I don't even know how old my friends are. Some look a lot younger than me, some look a lot older than me. Really I have no idea.

And you're only faster than 95% of the UK? DAFUQ, so I guess we all can assume that Britain has the fastest commercial internet in the world...

I'm led to believe that it really isn't but it seems to do a funny weighting with the upload. Obviously 11 MB is nice, but I'm sure there are faster. But yes, the internet in the UK is actually pretty bad outside of cities...

Why is your upload speed faster than your download? It makes no sense...
