That's an engine limitation. You can't do it.

In HL2 you can make maps 4 times wider, taller, and deeper which is 64 times more space.

How much RAM do you have?

Check Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) for how much memory your programs are using. Kill the big users if you can.

Then compile again.

You can get HLRAD to use A LOT less memory with the -nomatrix option but it will also take longer. Like this in your .bat file:

hlrad -nomatrix yourmap
