Hi. I am making a deathrun map (Im already done with it but I cannot make it into a bsp because of this problem) and when I was trying to "compile" it whatsoever. I run the file for the Mymap.map to get into a bsp and then I got error. I looked at the .err file and it said:

Quote:
hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 83: ORIGIN brushes not allowed in world
(did you forget to tie this origin brush to a rotating entity?)

hlcsg: Error: Brush type not allowed in world
Description: The map has a problem which must be fixed
Howto Fix: Check the file ZHLTProblems.html for a detailed explanation of this problem

hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 84: ORIGIN brushes not allowed in world
(did you forget to tie this origin brush to a rotating entity?)

hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 95: ORIGIN brushes not allowed in world
(did you forget to tie this origin brush to a rotating entity?)

hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 96: ORIGIN brushes not allowed in world
(did you forget to tie this origin brush to a rotating entity?)

hlcsg: Error: Entity 0, Brush 157: ORIGIN brushes not allowed in world
(did you forget to tie this origin brush to a rotating entity?)

How to fix this? please help! (YES I USED FUNC_DOOR_ROTATING FOR THE BRUSHES AND PUTTED IN THE ORIGIN BRUSH INSIDE THE ROTATING BRUSH!)

It's not enough to just put the origin brush inside, you have to select them both and then tie them BOTH to func_door_rotating.

And turn the damn caps lock off.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

Not that I'm a nasty person or anything, but really?
I give a little into the moment like I'm standing at the edge (I know)
That no-one's gonna turn me 'round
Just one more step, I could let go

HAHAHA! That was funny lol. I have a new problem now. When I made the origin and the rotating brush together, I checked for problems and it said that the brushes that was with the origins were not solid. What do I have to do?

Ah yes, again the empty brush entity error.
Mate de Vita said:
You mean you have an empty entity error or 'solid entity has no brushes' error or something similar? If so:
Press alt+p and see which entities are listed as empty (let's say you have 'the entity func_buyzone is empty').
Go to map->entity report and filter brush entities only. Then select the first of the entities that were listed in the alt+p (in this case func_buyzone). Now press Go to. If it selects something in the map, move on to the next func_buyzone. If it doesn't select anything press delete.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.
