Superjer programmed the database so that DR's post color changes by one hex every time he posts. The thing is, it changes back too, and keeps going back and forth at a random rate, so you're not really supposed to notice

To be fair, I noticed this, and I think it's to do with the angle you see the colour at. For instance if my post is at the bottom of the screen it appears to be more saturated than it does at the top. It's something like that anyway. Because I can still hide text like this!

What can I say? Physics is my subject.
Which, thinking about it, makes it incredibly odd for me to be writing a program that takes arbitrary DNA sequences and visualises them in an illuminating way. Why am I doing this? Sometimes, I get very confused.
Also, as an addendum, it's because most LCD monitors are view-dependent, i.e. if you look at them from funny angles the colours tend to go strange, unlike CRT. I can't remember why they do this. And cannot really find out why, but I imagine it will be something like a reason. I have to go get tea now then PUB QUIZ over at the RMS. Oh my God I'm blogging.
That wouldn't work, I don't think. The Doppler equation relates the the frequency an observer moving relative to some wavelike source measures compared to the frequency at the source. You end up with... tell you what, I'll post when I revise the waves section of my course come April, late April, whatever. I'm sure you'd all love that.

Això no vol treballar, no crec. L'equació relaciona el Doppler de la freqüència d'un observador en moviment respecte a alguna font d'ona mesures pel que fa a la freqüència en la font. S'acaba amb ... diré una cosa, vaig a publicar, quan revisi la secció de les ones del meu curs provenen d'abril, a finals d'abril, el que sigui. Estic segur que tots ens encanta.
