ok i sent one of my friends my bsp file to test the map and he could start it up but none of the lights worked and he could note see some texture on the map. do i need to send him the wad file i used? if so do you know how to zip it into a folder?

File zipping is easy in Windows. If you can't be bothered with that compile the map with either:

-wadinclude AWadThatYouUsed -wadinclude AnotherWadYouUsed

or

-nowadtextures

These will make your map a bit larger though.

ok -wadinclude what that includes the wad in the compile? i use one wad its called ALL so i would i do that. what line do i put it behind?

Yeah, pretty much. But if you use -wadinclude use it like this:

hlcsg -wadinclude ALL.wad hotel

And so on. Also Windows is not case sensitive, which is rather awesome. GNU/Linux is. And it annoys me.
