Hello, I am making a surf map, and this is what i need help with: there are two spawns on each side, and you jump onto the ramp and it curves in to make one ramp. I need help making the curves, appreciate your help

( do I make the half-ramp (one-sided) then click it twice to make the 4 circles on eacher corner appear then turn it in?)
because my problem with that is that its uneven

Sounds Like something you're going to need vertex manipulation for.

Just don't make invalid (concave) shapes with the vertex manipulator or it will not compile correctly.

Hint: If you make triangular sections of floor, you can raise and lower the corners without worrying about making invalid shapes.

EDIT:Uhhh...I think i misundertood ur question but you would do the same thing except turn the brushes using the TOP view...Its a little more complicated and myn isnt right cause i didnt make the brushes look like ramps but its the same way you would do it...(Click for image)

No what you said is correct, you double click to make thoe 4 circles at the edges and then u turn the Brush, and then once the brush is turned you click on it, Hold Shift and drag it to make a nother one, and give the second one a little less slope and put its bottem left alligned inside alligned with the 1st ones bottem right....If that makes sense...lol. I made some pictures to explain a little better....

Ok so Make a normal ramp, standing straight...like thi one

Turn it a little to give it a slope
(Click for image)

Now hold shift and make a copy of that one and give the 2nd one a little less slope and allgin the corners together (To allign the Corners better Press the [ Button for a bigger graph and the ] for a smaller one)
(Click for image)

Now just keep making them and alligning them....

Thers also a video on YouTube, but its kinda hard to unerstand and goes pretty quick....http://youtube.com/watch?v=nXxk2qLlTgY&feature=related

Just a quick aside out of interest- why is it Hammer doesn't like concave brushes? Is it just laziness on Valve's part? :D
I give a little into the moment like I'm standing at the edge (I know)
That no-one's gonna turn me 'round
Just one more step, I could let go

Well you can always make a concave structure with multiple brushes but ye, its gay they dont allow 1 single brush to be concave

Concave brushes are just not part of the .MAP format (from Quake). There is no way to write a concave brush in .MAP.

Brushes are defined as the space contained inside a group of planes.

That's why brushes "explode" when they save to .MAP wrong. Because they are missing a plane to contain it from one or more directions.
