trees are models.add a cycler_sprite entity then go and choose the model(look it up in cstrike\models).after you found the nicest one,make sure the pathname for the model is only this models\whatever-tree-model you want.

I don't understand what you did say above. After add a cycler_sprite entity, where i must choose the model? Alt+Enter? Or what?

Fatal Error:

i'm getting the error...J:\CS 1.6\cstrike\models\bigtree.mdl not found....

But that file is there only...

the map got compiled succesfully..but the error came while launching the map..

Help please!!!

change the directory as J:\cs\cstrike\

i started from the beginning configuring the valve hammer editor..

i built a map...again put a moded bigtree.mdl...
compiled it..everything worked fine again...but got the same error while launching....dono what is happening...!!!

please help me out!!!

Make sure the pathname in the cycler_sprite says: models/bigtree.mdl

when i clic properties of that entity..
attribute : Model/Sprite
path : J:/CS/cstrike/models/bigtree.mdl

Not really actually, it's a bit different for ambient_generic, if you have a sound in eg: C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\******\counter-strike\cstrike\sound\snore.wav then the path in the ambient_generic should say just: snore.wav

If the sound-file is in a sub-folder, like: C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\******\counter-strike\cstrike\sound\de_snore\snore.wav then the path in the ambient_generic should say: de_snore/snore.wav

what is this about? how to remove this error?
if i want to create a very big map how should i create and bring the sky feeling (out door)?
