If you have Pro or better you can run things in Windows XP mode. That's the main reason to get that.

I don't have much problems with it, but I've been trying to use Google Chrome on top of that and it's really cocking things up. It used to be that with Firefox, I would have about eight windows with around fifteen tabs apiece, but Chrome can't seem to handle more than six sometimes without crashing.

ok soo if you understand

on all laptops theres the buttons that do stuff FOR INSTANCE f4 and f5 are to lower brightness and decrease it. f3 is to see battery status
counter strike needs f1 and f2 to buy weapons it wont allow me to to do that. i press f2 to re-buy. thats the "turn off wifi" butten, and kicks me from cs

You don't have some sort of function button? Like, Fn+F4 would lower brightness. There should be a function button somewhere on your keyboard, look for a key that says "Fn" on it.

Could you bind buy key to be something else?

Also it's not the same on all laptops. I use Fn and the up and down arrow keys to adjust brightness on mine, and F2 does nothing because the Wifi switch is an on/off thing on the right side. 100% natural, no antibiotics, and bloodgrass-fed

Yes, that is a uniquely Google problem. "Make a full version of something? Sorry, we've got to get property rights to the moon, brb".

I like the streamlined interface, particularly the tab to search bit which is on par with Firefox's right-hand drop down mini search engines, but my policy with regard to... well, everything is: 1) determine absolute threshold 2) operate at that level. Chrome, having a lower threshold, is more suitable for people like Mikejer, who seems to think it's fun to open up various pages one at a time whenever he logs onto his computer. I would prefer my hundred pages that I cannot possibly remember otherwise (at best, it would be a nuisance, and at worst, catastrophically time wasting) to be mostly preloaded. Chrome would melt if I tried that. It also forces me to sign back into shit, which is tedious, so I'll be going back to Firefox shortly.

Also, for everyone else's benefit... Fun fact: when you install Windows 7 on your computer, very often it will assume that your touchpad is an actual physical mouse. This can be problematic because it means it operates like a fucking macbook, except worse, because it's more sensitive. So, as you're typing it will start to think that you've clicked elsewhere on the screen by tapping the pad (even when you have not) and the text will start up anew wherever your cursor was. This is frustrating, to say the least. You'll have to re-install the touchpad back to the factory settings (if compatible) before you can reconfigure it to behave normally. See, I did this by myself. I was ripping out as much crap as I could from Vista and it now does this, mainly when I hit the pad accidentally with the base of my left thumb. It's very annoying. When I say ripping out crap, I mean uninstalling everything, including drivers I saw as being... superfluous.

As far as screens of death are concerned, this laptop (bought in August) has never done anything bad to me. I call this surprising. OTOH my other, older laptop, when booted into Vista, will crash after roughly twenty minutes. It also bluescreened in the first four hours of my using it. The error is KERNEL_INPAGE_DATA_ERROR, Google is proving useless because it's returning tech-help sites filled with retards that break keyboards by dribbling on them, but it seems I need to reinstall Vista on it. Of course I only have a 64-bit install disk for Vista! Of course! Lovestruck! I've fallen for a lamppost

Vista sucks shit.
I once installed Vista then i tried to install a game and guess what.It would stop at like 50% or even 20.Then i pressed Control+Alt+Delete.Checked out the amount of free memory (ram).It was 0,also when the amount of free ram drops it never goes back to its normal amount even if i close everything.And no my pc is not like 10 years old it's vista that sucks dick
