Ok, this first post's going to be somewhat of a dissertation... Anyway, some of you may remember the map ff_harbor I made a little while ago from the unreleased TFC version. The FF version turned out not to work so well, and had a bunch of problems with it, not the least of which was the poor framerate and crappy vis blocking. So I'm totally rebuilding the whole thing from scratch (except the lighthouse). THIS time around I know a lot more about how the source engine works and stuff, and will be using things like displacements much more to my benefit. Also the map will be rectangular. Building non-concave shaped maps causes hell with 3D skyboxes.
