So we are starting a new community for CS. I am "Teh Server Guy." However, I expected we would be running it off of a Windows rig. But apparently, we are running it off of Debian. I'm guessing it is going to be the same. But, I'm also guessing, I need a non-steam/steam server compiled for Linux, huh? And then, I have to manually compile the plugins for Linux as well?
...then I got some ap, and shot a big ass lazar at everyone.

Afraid I can't help cause I don't use linux, but you could try opening liblist.gam in cstrike folder and changing the gamedll to the .so file

So are you expecting the cs server to be configured and running today? Frankly I'm getting tired of playing on AOG 
Also if you need help with Linux get on messenger, I've been doing a lot of learning lately with setting up my server/studying to make sure I get the job I want with the Air Force.

On mine libSteamValidateUserIDTickets_i386.so is all lowercase. Make sure your files are updated.
Are you trying to run it in non-Steam mode? Because that's extremely error-prone. If you want to do that you should run 1.5 or something.

I'm not positive but _sv_lan should be +sv_lan or -sv_lan.
Options don't normally start with _.
Why are you doing non-Steam with the Steam version of CS? What is the point? I don't get it.

Cuz idk what to do, so I searched for a tutorial and found this one http://www.cstrike.ro/tutorial_cs16_nosteam_linux.php
And thats what it says to do 
I would say that I think Sprinkles followed the same tut... but I jsut looked and that tut uses:
./hlds_run -game cstrike +ip ip.de.internet +sv_lan 1 -nomaster +maxplayers 18 +map de_dust2

Ok, so the problem was that the library was missing (i copied i486 as i386).
New problem:
code Error:/usr/hlds/engine_i686.so: undefined symbol: __pure_virtual ...then I got some ap, and shot a big ass lazar at everyone.
