Heya! Let's share some musics you recently discovered!
I'll start with Ratatat. They apparently are some instrumental electronica/indie duo with super catchy songs. Checky out!
Then I really got into The Flaming Lips lately and I must say they are one of my favourite bands right now. I also like how their new stuff is even better than their old stuff.
Good Charlotte!
Ok I didn't recently discover them, but I recently released how much I used to like them.
They don't suck that much (ok their 2 latest albums suck, but their 3rd the chronicles of life and death was a semi epic masterpiece of symphonic rock[yes wikipedia puts the genre as that]).

I wonder why the album is called Hardcore will never die, but you will. I have been avoiding mostly anything remotely connected to hardcore. (Although Godspeed You are coming from hardcore too (I guess))

Some hardcore is all right (Like Refused!) but a bunch of screaming and crunchy guitars isn't for everyone I suppose. I like it in limited quantities. Hardcore did kind of create that weird post-rock shoot around the early part of the 1990s and it kind of makes sense if you listen to the very early bands in the set like Slint. But there were other contributors to the phenomenon that didn't really have much to do with rock in the first place.
That title just seems like something Mogwai would do based off of some of the other song titles I've seen. I'll need to give the album itself another few listens. It's better than The Hawk is Howling, but I don't think I'd put it in the same category as Young Team, Mr. Beast, or Happy Songs for Happy People.

Havokk... for serious. You're playing FF games, which are chock full of totally amazing music by Nobuo Uematsu, a world renowned composer so badass that symphonies play his music all over the world regardless of any connection the concert has to video games... and THAT is what you pick out as good?
