Well, here it is. Maybe it works?

I still have a few things to enable, but it's late and I need to get some sleep. Here's what I'll be finishing/adding this week (hopefully):

- Picture attachments on posts
- Search page (doesn't work now)
- Spades
- Old-style points system
- Personalized user pages
- Ticket system for the Hammer section
- Any more ideas?

Hope you like whatever color you got randomly assigned cuz I'm NOT changing it for you!!

And looks like there is no poll function ride now. And maybe you could let people choose an own colour?

Here's an awesome idea for the forum: What about everyone has some troops and you can send them out to other people and if you get lucky and have a certain difference more than the user you sent them to, you can take over that user for some time. But you can't "control" him, it only says like, "taken over by XY" or "XY's territory".

You'd get one troop a day or a week. AND you can choose your type of troops, like, there could be goombas and random video game characters or McDiddy's guys.


EDIT: I just noticed that the "recent post" thing does not appear to be working.

Seems alright, could use a diffrent color other than baby blue, but otherwise simple and to the point.

Ok. The recent post thing should be fixed now. Along with some other stuff. I typoed some stuff last night during the launch but it's fixed now.

Hey it mostly works, right?

I need to finish the Edit function for your profile pages before you can change your avatars and stuff. That's next so hold on a bit.

Molk, I like your troops idea. I think I can work it into my points system idea, so you can take other players' points or something.

Also, you will be able to spend points to do things like mayyyyyybe change your post color.

Maybe you should change the grey background to something nicer, like, really light grey or white.

And, will the pee ems return too?

Also, a "who's online" panel on every page would be awesome too. Could be a bar below the black header bar or at the very bottom.

Eh, the truck 'check out this avs' doesn't seem to be working, I think the error is "Cannot display Truck_NOTRUCK" something along those lines anyway.

hmm ive noticed a few things that you probably will fix soon.
1, we cant really change our profiles, so like my sig is a mess.
b. almost all firetrucks are marked unread, even after i read them again.

but other then that, grrroood!

Well I'm glad you guys "like" the new software...

I am taking everything you are saying into consideration.

The real benefit of the new forum is I can easily add and change things. It was really hard to do that with the old software.

I'm adding the profile editing next, probably tonight.

I don't want to let people change their colors all they want for two reasons:

1) Everyone will only pick the 'cool' colors, and none of the 'lame' ones. There won't be enough differentiation.

2) People will change their colors too often. The point of the colors is to make it easy to recognize who's posting. That won't work so well with them changing all the time.

That's why I want to make it so you have to earn points to change your color.

Points System -- look out for it.

An awesome addition would be that the pages a thread has are listed below the thread on the forum page, so you can jump to a page without visiting the first page (or last) first.

Also, the colours-thing is a great idea.

Also also, I would not use those "html divide lines" that seperate the sig from the post, it'd be awesome if it was just a one coloured line some tones darker than the user's colour. Hotness.

Admit it: you did that on purpose.

A couple cool things would be the addition of being able to quote posts from the topic, and announcements and stickys as well.

EDIT: Also having an advanced user account, as opposed to a regular account, for trusted users, with abilities like making stickies, and other small things that users aren't normally able to do. You know what I mean? If you jump high enough you'll hurt your ankles when you land.

HMM really like the new look :D ;) (my colors ok i guess ) and the smilyes are cute :P .. but i can't seem to change some stuff on my profile (maybe its just me) gifs in the avatars don't seem to work . ohh and it doesn't display my "location" ....

BTW where did the preview button go ?? Wtf is that ? its a bird ! no its a plane ! amm maybe its a plastic bag . NO ! its SUPERJER ! the greatest super hero ever!

well, i understood what you said about the user's colors, but @!$#^. is there NO WAY you can change someone's color even if it's a girly purple? and avatar can only be from online? O_o

Molk: I will try your pages idea and your line idea.

Corn: Nope. I didn't do any of the colors on purpose. They are randomly chosen. Lavender, truly, is your fate.

I like your advanced users idea. I think stickies, in particular are just for mods. But there are probably other things advanced user can do. Like have more voting power for up-voting and down-voting posts.

Speaking of which, that will be how people earn points, by getting up-votes. Maybe. And of course, I can always give out points for random reasons.

begginer: Correct. GIFs don't work. Turns out I don't have the PHP GIF library installed. Gotta fix that. Locations are only displayed on your profile page right now. I was trying to reduce clutter a bit around here.

EdAn: You can change your own color by spending enough points. I'm working on a "really cool" system for that. It's just not ready yet. It'll cost points though. A lot of points. If you're nice I'll have some points waiting for your when the user-color-change-system goes online.
