goddamn now the game is screwing with me. When I compile the map it just starts the game and then quits.
Eh, I'm gonna try again tomorrow, I'm completely wiped out right now.

ok, the zhlt is working fine now but now I'm really starting to get pissed at VHE.

I made four button brushes and tied them all to a single func_button entity (because otherwise I don't know how I could make the delay before reset work for all of them if you pressed just one).
I set the delay before reset to 11 seconds, saved, exported to map, compiled and tried it out. Now, finally the delay before reset works beautifully BUT for some reason now only one of the buttons is clickable even though they are all a func_button entity. WTF??

EDIT: OK, before I go into further explanation I'll make a screenshot to make things even more complicated.

now the red-encircled are the 2 buttons (they're the same func_button entity). The info_player_start is placed just to show approximately how big this is.
While the lift was on the lower level I was only able to press the button on the right side (from this point of view). But when the lift was on the top floor I was able to press the other one as well (I couldn't press it from the elevator, but I could from the floor). I know you're probably gonna say that I can't reach the other one from the elevator but the problem is that before I turned all four buttons into one func_buttons I could press it from the elevator.
And then I tried pressing the buttons on the upper floor but couldn't press any of them (the lift was on the upper floor).
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

I have the target of the buttons set to Multi because that's the name of the multi_manager that has Elevator and ElevatorDoor set as targets and Elevator has a delay of 1 second.

The problem isn't that the lift doesn't move when I press a button but that I can't press the button at all.

just read the tutorial and look at the rmf file and u should understand so u can do the same. Ur elevator is not that diffrent from the one i gave u

well yeah, it's not that different, but there is one difference. He has the button that activates the elevator inside the elevator (so that the button brush moves with the elevator and the func_button entites stay in one place) while I have buttons that don't have a moving brush. So he doesn't need to do anything to prevent the players from pressing the buttons again but I do. And that's why I have all the buttons tied to one func_button entity.
And it works fine except for the fact that for some reason the buttons are sometimes 'unpressable' (you can't press them) even when they're supposed to be pressable (so they're green but you can't press them, though you can press the button on the other side - and they're all the same func_button).

So basically the problem is:
All 4 buttons are one func_button entity, but I sometimes can't press one, even though I can press another.

Oh and if it's any help I went to find out which buttons I can press under which circumstances:
- when the elevator is at the lower floor I can only press the button on the lower floor that's on the opposite side of the elevator.
- when the elevator is on the top floor I can press both buttons on the lower floor.
So the button on the lower floor that's on the opposite side of the elevator is always pressable, the button on the lower floor on the elevator side is only pressable when the lift is on the top floor and the buttons on the top floor are never pressable.

And they're all the same func_button entity. Curious.
