I've been working on the McDiddy's Game lately, thanks to finally getting my game engine SPARToR to work over a network.
There's not much to see yet, but all my progress is/will be on display at github.com/superjer/SPARToR
To really see it in action, run multiple copies and on one type:
listen
and on the others type:
connect localhost
which will get a network game going.
AaronJer and I have been working on lots of game art for McDiddy's. But it will be better as a surprise.
Instructions to download, build, and run the latest version are here!

Sounds beastly. Any special things we can get hints on?

Is anyone over-looking the fact that he made a game engine?
I jus' think that is fucking awesome.

We'd be more impressed if he hadn't been talking about making it for about twelve years.
We're still impressed though.

Thank you for noticing that. :>
Making a game engine is difficult. Making a networked game engine (that works) is nearly impossible. And SPARToR nearly works so that means it was nearly nearly impossible to make.

I look forward to getting lost in the source code, and not having a clue what what does.

Haha, you were saying?
Anyways, Superjer, are you going to give out anymore details?
P.S.
I'll probably make a truck in the 'programming' section about the game engine's source code, so look forward to answering painfully obvious, stupid questions.

I don't have any more details for now other than gameplay spoilers for McDiddy's. I'll keep those to myself for your own benefit.
To see the latest SPARToR for yourself on Windows, Mac or Linux, you can always go the the project's download page at github.com/superjer/SPARToR/downloads

You have to be using the Git version control system to use GitHub.
Assuming you are on Windows, try this guide for installing Git.
Git is really more of a *nix thing. It works on Windows but it's kind of awkward to set up I think.

When you type something into the console there is a number, on the same line, what is that for? My number goes crazy whenever I type.

So you're running an unix rig?

The number is the ID of the last key you typed.
I'm primarily developing this on a Linux (Ubuntu) rig, but my Win7 and MacOSX machines are right next to me and networked. I have scripts setup to push, compile and run, so I can debug on all 3 OSes at once.

Sure you can help. Take a look at the code and maybe you'll understand it enough to find a bug or possible improvement. Feel free to ask questions. If you need help compiling it, let me know.
Or you can just do runtime testing on your system, or any other systems you can. When you find an issue, I think you can report it at github.com/superjer/SPARToR/issues.

Are you saying "I think" because you can't remember your sn, or because you don't use it much?
It is all in C?
And you're not using the net runtime?
Damn.
